Akron Area Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee

Background Information

The Akron Area Electrical Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (AAEJATC) trains all of the Residential and Inside Apprentices for the IBEW Local 306. The AAEJATC is recognized by the Department of Labor and is credited by the Ohio Apprenticeship Council. While attending these programs, veterans will be able to collect their G.I. Bill. The AAEJAT offers a 5 year commercial wireman program and a 3 year residential wireman progra. Job Assignments, not just referrals, but placements with responsible employer/contractors.

-Multi-Contractor Employment Pool – Akron JATC has a contractual arrangement with over 25 responsible contractors to keep you employed. Your future is not tied to the fortunes of one firm.

-College credit from Northwest State Community College for courses you complete within the apprenticeship program.
