My name is Michael Kakias and I am a USAF veteran. I served 8 years being a heavy equipment operator from 2010-2018. During that time I learned how to operate: dozer, backhoe, loader, excavator, roller, grader, street sweeper, once had my crane license up to 250 tons, and dump trucks with and without snow attachments. My scope of work was large scale operations to include building airbases and runways from the ground up. After my contract ended, I worked as an equipment operator doing large scale abatements for a hazmat company for roughly 6 months until laid off. I then acquired my CDL class B and drove for a stone company for a year and from there proceeded to get my class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements. I was an over the road trucker for roughly a year before starting at the previously employed hazmat company. I now run class B and class A hazardous materials and non hazardous materials daily. I wish to get back into heavy equipment work and refine and improve my skills greatly in the career field I love most.
