Work Experience:
My name is Aiden McCarthy, I am currently a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry rifleman with V2/7. I started my Marine Corps career with the Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team in Yorktown, Virginia. While apart of FAST, I was deployed twice to Rota, Spain completing missions over those two deployments to countries such as the UK, Scotland, Gabon and Kenya as well as many different parts of Spain. During this time I held positions higher than my rank such as a Team Leader (Leading a team of 4 marines, a position of an E-4) as an E-3 and Squad Leader(Leading a squad of 12 marines, a position of an E-5) as an E-4. Some notable accomplishments of my time with FAST include a 2 week exercise in Kenya in which I was the Chief Instructor of Water Survival, teaching 98 students from 8 East African nations in water survival. I also led a 4 man designated marksman(sniper) team in a 2 week international sniper exercise in northern Spain. In October of 2024 I was transferred to V2/7 in Twentynine Palms where I once again held the position of squad leader for the better part of a year before getting out of the Marine Corps. I am someone who strives to learn quick and help others do the same. I have extensive experience leading and teaching and can adapt to changes quickly. I'm someone who takes my job as well as my personal health and fitness seriously. I am currently looking into multiple trade fields as well as private security companies. I prefer the trade fields as I am interested in learning new skills and moving myself away from the Marine Corps.
