  Duties Description:

  Supervises, instructs and serves as the senior enlisted member for SF activities. Trains and maintains proficiency in all major duties associated with Special Forces. Performs administrative, operational and training duties during tasks organization of the ODA in mission preparation (isolation) and during operations. Performs joint, interagency, multi-national, combined, and coalition planning; and supervises operations for higher headquarters, major commands and joint commands. Performs senior leadership, staff, and training functions within special forces. Performs duties associated with SQI 8, D, M and P.

  Serves as the Group S-3 Operations Sergeant
  Major for a 2,600 Soldier Special Forces Group executing Special Operations
  missions in the EUCOM and CENTCOM Areas of Responsibility (AOR); leads a 52-person
  Operations Section responsible for managing the Group's daily activities, Man/Train/Equipping
  (M/T/E/), operational readiness, current operations (schools, ranges,
  taskings), support operations (movement, land management, ammunition), future
  operations (air, training concepts, theater security cooperation program
  events, and overseas contingency operations), plans, exercises (Combat Training
  Centers, Fires, unit certification and validation), and special activities;
  coordinates with 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne) and Fort Carson units;
  advises five battalions, the Group Operations Officer, and Command Team on all
  training and operational activities; while deployed established enlisted
  guidance for attached Joint and ARSOF, engages interagency, multinational, and
  Theater Special Operations Command counterparts to ensure unified action;
  informs and supports command policies, guidance, and standards; maintains
  proficiency in the German Language.
