  Part of a team to maintain the Stryker family of vehicles and keep the vehicles and the operating systems running smoothly; Performs field and sustainment level maintenance on various vehicle systems to include the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, fire extinguisher/suppression systems and vehicular mounted armament; Supervises compliance with shop safety program and use, and maintenance and security of power tools; Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions; Supervises and provides technical guidance to junior grade Soldiers; Performs battlefield damage and assessment and repair.

  Duties Description:
  Inspects, tests, diagnoses, corrects failures, and performs direct and general support maintenance on automatic data processing equipment; makes regular inspections of all equipment and adjusts and repairs machines to insure proper operations; determines common causes of computer and associated equipment malfunction; locates malfunctions by inspection of key electrical and mechanical components, consultation with operators, study of circuit diagrams and control panel wiring, and check of processed cards and tapes; interprets circuit diagrams, schematic diagrams, and technical literature on the function and maintenance of computers and associated equipment; test-operates equipment to determine nature, location and extent of trouble; disassembles malfunctioning equipment and replaces faulty components; periodically checks operation of computer by special diagnostic test programs and special test equipment.
