Steve Prescia

I am a former Navy SEAL that served the United States from 1993 to 2003 stationed here in San Diego at SEAL Team One. After my active-duty service I joined the active reserves while attending college at SDCC for a gerneral studies degree. While attending college 9//11 happened in 2003 I had an opportunity to serve again and this time deployed to Afghansitan as a security contractor for the company "Dyncorp." I completed a 6 month contract providing executive protection services for the Aghanistan President Hamid Karzai. After completion in 2004 I deployed to Iraq for the company "Triple Canopy," with other teammates from the previous contract. While only 2 months in country I my team was ambushed and I shot in the right lower leg while driving in a protection convoy. I was immediately sent home to recover and went through several surgeries to regain mobility and get back into the work force. in 2005 I went to work for Triple Canopy again but as a firearms instructor. In 2007 I was given the opportunity to work for "Black Water," as a mentor and a coach for the next generation of Special Operations in the Navy. After 10 years in NY working for Blackwater in 2017 I chose to move back to California to pursue other opportunities. Since then I have been working as an independent contractor providing many different services aligned with my skillset. This includes: firearms training, teambuilding, physical fitness, and recruiting. I currently live in Coronado with my wife and focused on starting a family together while pursuing a more consistent career that can provide for my family.
