Hello Im Dawson McCurdy, currently i am serving in the US Navy as a Seabee in the rate of Steelworker. I've worked as a project supervisor, crew leader, and crew member.As a project supervisor, i have led a crew of 26 in the completion of a 2 room school house on the island of fiji. I've successfully completed jobs with concrete walls, concrete columns, concrete roofs, electrical, steel roofing, welding, and Pre-engineered buidlings. I've operated tractor trailers, forks, and buckets. As a squad leader i coordinated and lead 16 personnel in trainings, job performance, career counseling, administrative data, medical, and dental appointments. I currently have my manual CDL, osha 10 hour and 30 hour certifications completed. I am looking to continue my work in the construction field and eventually be a supervisor. In route of that i am currently working towards a bachelors in mechanical engineering.

    Perform tasks directly related to fabrication and erection of pre-engineered structures, including steel reinforcement; control job site deployment of materials and equipment; direct and coordinate the composition, training and efforts of crews who fabricate, assemble, erect, position and join structural members and fabricated sections; maintain individual combat readiness; and perform tasks required in combat and disaster preparedness or recovery operations.

    Role Description:

    While working here, I finished wood with sanding, staining, sealing, and top coating. I also polished stone for counter tops, i would then go in install these structures on jobsites such as in construction hetels, resorts, colleges, and personal properties.
