  • Job Title: Dispatch Department Supervisor

    Role Description:

    A position that was in direct responsibility for public safety, officer safety and resource protection for all areas within Fort Riley, Kansas. Directly supervised a staff of dispatchers to include both civilians and soldiers. Designed and implemented new employee training programs, created and maintained unnatural work schedules that covered 24hr periods, distributed workload amongst the staff and evaluated the work of dispatch employees. Performed emergency service dispatcher duties such as determining the priority of response to 9-1-1 calls by initiating responses of law enforcement, emergency medical, fire and game warden personnel. Operated computerized radio telecommunication console systems which controlled multiple radios, telephones and computerized logging systems. Operated law enforcement computer systems and related software programs such as the National Crime Information Center (NCIC), the National Law Enforcement Telecommunication System (NLETS) and Computer Aided Dispatch System (CAD).
