    Class Summary: Incumbents are responsible for performing professional level assistance in assessing residents' needs and coordinating either social services or specific program activities with the residents.

    Distinguishing Characteristics: The Program Coordinator is the second level of a three-level Program Coordinator series and is distinguished from the Program Assistant by its responsibility for performing professional-level assistance in assessing residents' needs. The Program Coordinator is distinguished from the Program Manager, which has responsibility for supervising professional-level staff.

    Position Summary: Incumbents are responsible for supervising staff; responding to crisis situations; enrolling program applicants; monitoring participants for continuation or termination from programs; managing meals, housekeeping and coordinating activities with service providers.
