  Duties Description:

  As a 19D our primary duty was reconnaissance. My position on the 3 man crew was that of a driver. My duties included vehicle maintenance, helping the gunner out with his including setting up and performing maintenance of commo equipment, weapon systems and load out plans. At training events aside from maneuvering the vehicle i also helped with aquisition of targets, and battle tracking over the communication systems.

  Role Description:

  At Rain for Rent my duties are to help the machinist tear down equipment for water wells; bowls, lift pumps, centrifugal pumps, etc. inspect the components for serviceability and repairability, we check for wear on the impellers, shafts, casings, bowl bearings and top parts. We fill out a tear down sheet with all the information that gets turned in and reviewed by operations, the salesman and the customer. Depending on the condition of the equipment it might get approval for repair or its going to get discarded.

  When the approval for repair comes down, material gets ordered which is then machined to and modified for fit. Mostly consisting of wear rings, shafts and top parts. The equipment is then reassembled and taken to get installed. 

  We also fabricate parts or make modifications to equipment using Oxy-acetylene torch and either GMAW or SMAW welding.

  Role Description:

  I entered this job as maintenance, did this for a few months, serviving propane forklifts, almond packaging equipment, and building maintenance, later moved on to operating an almond sorting/cleaning machine, bins of almond from the orchards would get fed to the machine, the machine would then sort the almonds from leaves, branches rocks etc, the clean alomond bins would then get stacked for later use or taken to the mixing/packaging rooms and turned over to those operators.
