    Duties Description:

     Long Range Surveillance Team Leader in a Light Infantry Company specializing in Reconnaissance
    Surveillance and Target Acquisition (RSTA).
    • Responsible for the welfare, fitness, morale, and discipline of nine Soldiers; responsible for the
    individual training and maintenance of their equipment.
    • Primary instructor and advisor in the matters of tactics, personnel management, and junior leader
    development.
    • Conducts all mission planning and dissemination of information (OPORD) about the mission.
    • Directs his Squad's tactical employment during offensive and defensive operations.
    • Responsible for the accountability and maintenance of all assigned MTO&E equipment worth in
    excess of 1,000,000 dollars.
    • I went from a Private to Sergeant in 18 months along with passing Air Assault, Airborne,
    Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leadership Course (LRS School) and other tactical and leadership
    training. I then finished a 15-month deployment to Iraq in 2007-2008 having my skills tested in a
    dynamic and non-permissive environment.
    • After this long deployment I trained a new group of Soldiers to deploy back to Iraq. I also Attended
    more leadership and tactical schools during this time to strengthen my role as a leader of a team.

    Role Description:

    • Inventory Management Full Stack Application. Worked as a member of a team to complete a full
    stack inventory management application. The app provides a company with the ability to create,
    read, update, and delete items from the system and have the items stored in a database. The app
    covers edge cases through input validation, boundary checking, and unit testing. The app itself was
    built using Java Spring Boot, Angular, and MySQL.
    • Developed a full stack CRUD application using Spring Boot and Angular
    • Followed proper REST principles when designing the API endpoints
    • Coordinated with teammates to complete project deliverables
    • Saved data using MySQL and Spring Data JPA Personal Portfolio Website Worked individually to
    complete a personal portfolio website using HTML, CSS. The site features information about my
    personal and professional background. To stay organized, I leveraged the version control software of
    GitHub.
