Work Experience:

My name is Evan Felsl and I have been serving in the United States Navy since I graduated highschool in early 2019. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge in various high-energy, mechanical systems in my time in the Navy and have developed a unique skill set that allows me to apply knowledge and problem solving techniques between a multitude of trades in the union commonly practiced seperately and put them together to maintain operability of a Submarine. I have regularly been exposed to high intensity situations where immediate action is required to surpress system failures or unexpected outcomes and this has caused me to become more of a mechanically inclined thinker and develope a "what happens next" type of mindset when repairing, testing, or operating systems such as hydraulics, high pressure air, firefighting systems, refrigeration, oxygen generation, plumbing, and diesel engines.

My knowledge isn't fine tuned to the degrees that I know are required for mastering a trade in the civlian sector quite yet but I'm looking to hone them into a craft such as pipefitting or HVACR. I am very open to apprenticeships if they can lead me to success down the road. I have recieved extensive training from the Navy in mechanical operation of the systems I stated earlier as well as maintenace practices and quality assurance practices in those fields prespectively. I have had the pleasure of guiding and organizing completion of maintenace, repairs, and troubleshooting on said systems and have started to dive head first in to what it takes to lead a team of individuals to end goals and deadlines as well as the associated paperwork and documentation that is required. I have also had the chance to experience major overhauls of a submarine in which we are required to coordinate with outside entities to accomplish goals and meet deadlines in terms of diagnostics, repairs, and testing of these systems which has helped me adapt well to working around hurdles, miscommunication, and general "do it right the first time" practices to achieve the overarching goal even when my knowledge is minimal in that specific area. I am currently working to obtain my Universal EPA certification in the spare time I have and I am very eager to learn the ins and outs of the pipefitting and or HVACR fields and work my way through the ranks becoming a better mechanic along the way.
