Daniel Valdez Jr is a United States Marine Corps Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran constantly seeking a challengeping position in government contracting and or private securit. Highly motivated infantry team leader with extensive training in weapons, ground and vehicle operations, as well as, personal security details. A professional offering comprehensive knowledge supporting U.S. military operations and roles durning combat and non-combat tours. While serving in Afghanistan CPL Valdez was tasked With securely escorting and overall safety of officers, staff NOCs, and journalists in his area of operation. He served as a team leader in over 30 mounted mobile escorts. He assisted in the route reconnaissance, clearance, and contingency planning for both small arms and IED strikes. As a team leader, He was tasked with the training, combat readiness, and safety of his five-man team. While on deployment, he was engaged with the enemy on a daily basis. Whether it was direct small arms fire or IED attacks/clearance. Working with K-9 and combat engineers, his team assisted in the location and rendering safe of over 140 IEDs. Since leaving the military, he has worked in criminal corrections, private security, and overseas contracting for the Deparetment of Defense. Valdez also served as a K-9 handler for over 2.5 years in the private sector. With all his knowledge and experience gained he is extremely dedicated to mission accomplishment and the overall success of his team. He is extremely capable and eager to learn and improve skill set as a person, leader, and team member. He currently holds an active DOD Secert clearance, Commissioned Security Officer and Personal Protection Officer Certifications in the state of Texas.
