My name is Matthew Engelhardt and I am aspiring to become an electrician, glass worker, or iron worker apprentice with a local company that will give me the opportunity to grow into the company and field. While my professional background has primarily focused on retail management and asset protection, I am making a career change and am excited to convey how my eagerness to learn, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to embrace new challenges make me a compelling candidate for this role. Additionally, as a submarine veteran of the U.S. Navy, I have a strong work ethic, understand the meaning of teamwork, and consistently lead with a safety focused mindset. My career in retail has cultivated a strong foundation in focusing on quality over quantity, developing and maintaining relationships with customers, peers, and business partners, and prioritization and time management. I have had to adapt to complex and unpredictable situations, identifying solutions and executing, all while maintaining my composure and professionalism.
