John Barton

I served for a total of six years as an Aircraft Fuel Systems Maintainer. I spent most of those years in England and made my way up to E5 where I learned to lead others and train them up to be capable of not only completing jobs on their own, but also exceeding expectations and passing on their own knowledge and learning on their own. 

I left the service as I wanted to be an operator and saw no vacancies within the career field in the USAF within the foreseeable future. 

Shortly after leaving the USAF I joined my father as a commercial HVAC/R service tech. Through these two careers I have gained OSHA equivalent level trainings and certificates as well as proper OSHA training and certificates. I have experience working with teams and on my own, and I take satisfaction in producing the best product possible with emphasis on safety. I have had experience as a supervisior and as a job/shift leader and always look at the bigger picture whenever possible. If my task is held up until another team can complete theirs, I am eager to try to assist them to stay busy and ensure the overall project flows smoothly. I am a quick learner when it comes to operating machinery, and I am no stranger to getting my hands dirty and working hard in any weather due to my time spent on the flightlines and on roofs servicing HVAC/R equipment.
