Ever since I got out of the military, I have been able to experience a diverse amount of careers and have continued to take that knowledge with me wherever I went. Those experiences include during my time in the Navy, I was a Hospital Corpsman and I spent most of my career on Marine Corps bases. I learned how to work together with different personalities and leadership styles to complete a common goal. When I got out of the military I became a certified commercial diver through the Diver's Institute of Technology.

While learning to become a commercial diver, I learned first hand how to use hydraulic power-tools, topside as well as underwater stick welding, how to use lift bags, umbilical (oxygen, communication, and other important lines) maintenance, and overall how to work safely under dangerous working conditions. 

Afterwards, I worked briefly at UPS in a warehouse moving packages. The most important thing I learned was how to work quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines and to meet my supervisor's demands. When the work died out, I wanted to learn how to work with vehicles and worked at Discount Tire.

At the same time, I wanted to become a Sheriff's Deputy and I decided to apply to the Snohomish County Sheriff's Office in Washington. I learned how to be a member of law enforcement and I enjoyed a sense of service and the responsibility with becoming a LEO. Overall I acquired a great deal of experience through my past jobs and careers.

My next goal, and the reason I am applying for this program today, is because I always wanted to learn how to build a home (or the process involved with building one). I am particularly interested in residential carpentry, however my father in law has been a carpenter for many years and I desire to learn other building techniques from him (Bridges, and other large structures).

    As a Diver/Tender at H2O Solutions I was tasked with cleaning, or assisting the diver, while cleaning 2 large potable water tanks that were roughly 100,000 gallons for the city of Renton.
