Hi, my name is Logan Robinson. I served in the United States Marine Corps from 2017-2021 as a Machine Gunner. Before being honorably discharged, I was a corporal and team leader who was in charge of a four man team. My duties were ensuring that the marines under my charge were physically fit and for them to understand the responsibilites of each billet for mission readiness. Before and after my time in the Marines, I was consistently working from the age of fourteen. I have worked at a concession stand, a grocery store, in the restaurant industry, and was a shop-foreman/apprentice pipefitter at Gallo Mechanical for the Local 60. I also started my own franchised business called JDog Junk Removal & Hauling. I always strive to do the best I can as I take pride and dedication in the work that I do. I am a team player and understand that job deadlines are crucial to maximize efficiency for a company. Quantity but quality of a product means a lot to me. My career objectives are to be with a company that needs a reliable, hard-working, and coachable employee. I want to grow and make my future employer my life career.

    Duties Description:
    The machine gunner is responsible for the tactical employment of the 7.62mm medium machine-gun, the 50 cal. and 40mm heavy machine-gun, and their support vehicle. Machine gunners provide direct fire in support of the rifle and LAR squads/platoons/companies and the infantry and LAR battalions. They are located in the weapons platoons of the rifle and LAR companies and the weapons company of the infantry battalion.     Role Description:

    I began working with Gallo as a helper at the fabrication shop checking in materials and ensuring the materials were correct. I quickly moved to cutting metal pipe ensuring every pipe was cut to the correct measurement and labeled. I entered the New Orleans Pipe Trade Local 60 as a pipefitter apprentice in August. I started loading trailers with a forklift ensuring that all materials and pallets were wrapped and ready for transport. I began helping the pipefitter where help was needed and by October I became the new pipefitter. The job task required that I could read drawings on a software called MSUITE and fit-up that exact drawing. I used a mig welding machine to tack up fits for the welder. This included carbon steel pipe and also stainless steel. In February of 2022 I got promoted to shop foreman. At this time I was 1st year 2nd semester apprentice. My tasks and duties were to ensure the plumbers, pipefitter, pipe cutters, welder, apprenctices, and materials receiving were working on what needed to be worked on. I made sure to update the superintendant on job completion, any issues that arose, and extra material that we needed. I ensured the saftey and well-beings of others with weekly saftey briefs.

    Role Description:

    I began working at Chimes as a busboy when they first opened. I ensured all tables and spills if any were cleaned up. I did this in a quick and efficient manner to get customers sat as soon as possible. We also took the bartenders bus-tubs and took all full trashcans to be emptied. I soon transitioned into a server-assistant where I worked along side the server to ensure all customers were taken care of with drink refills, or to fulfill their needs. I also ran food and drinks to the tables and helped busboys clean off tables quickly. I then shucked and grilled oysters. We were in charge of keeping oysters on ice, prepping pans for grilled oysters and taking out full trashcans of oyster shells. We also needed to meet time deadlines on tickets to ensure customer and restaurant satisfaction. I got promoted to a server and ensured all of my customers had a great experience. It was a high paced restaurant so attention to detail was critical. I handled drink/alcohol orders and food orders by knowing the knowledge about our food and drinks. I was also lead server in doing inventory every Sunday night.
