Steven Carrabine

My name is Steven Carrabine, I poured concrete through my three years of highschool until joining the Army where I was stationed in Alaska. I served honorably for 4 years as an all source intelligence analyst when I left service I followed work through the federal government which took me to Colorado where I was a federal officer on the Pueblo Chemical Depot until all chemical munitions were destroyed and the officers were no longer needed. I then moved to Ohio and worked as an operations manager for a home health provider while I renovated a century home to turn into a rental property. When I completed the renovations I returned to Alaska and took a federal position as an Assistant Manager of the produce department of the commissary. These prior positions have given me a lot of managerial skills in an office or office adjacent setting but I have made sure that my construction skills haven't faded by persuing sidework through my own LLC in my off-time. I have started climbing the corporate ladder of a career field I have no passion or even interest in and I'd like to change back to construction before I can't justify making the switch anymore. I have always enjoyed finish carpentry the most and had a natural talent for woodworking. My attention to detail, perfectionist mindset, and general interest in the different properties in the species of wood and methods of woodworking contribute to my success in past projects and carpenty jobs I have done. I would like to learn in a more traditional setting because I'm sure there are plenty of things I am missing but I do have more of a base knowledge than the average first year apprentice.
