. During the 6 years of enlisted service onboard USS Dwight D Eisenhower Hayden Sharp completed the following.

First I was placed in the Reactor Auxiliaries division which is a division in charge of doing maintenance on 4 Emergency Diesel Engines. Completed over 1,500 planned maintenance items helping ensure the ship was ready for deployment. As the Work Center Supervisor (Maintenance planner) I lead 22 individuals in completing over 1,000 planned maintenance items and 27 unplanned maintenance items totaling over 1,500 man hours greatly enhancing the readiness of reactor department. Helped sailors in the successful completion in 2 diesel engine inspections and the successful completion of 2 Steam plant liaison Inquiries and 2 Departure from Specifications. Working under a stringent timeline i led a team of 9 sailors during a diesel failure to start during a loss of power across the ship i skillfully managed the replacement and pressure testing of 2 air start motors and 32 fuel injectors that resulted in the saving cost of over $17,000 for the command retuning the diesel to normal operation startup for reactor fill testing. 

As a Damage Control Training Team (DCTT) Leader I provided 228 hours of training to 85 Sailors, Helped Identify 13 safety violations and helped progress the fire team, pipe patching team, shoring team, and de-watering team's level of knowledge leading to 43 qualifications and increasing the ship's mission readiness. Mentored 8 sailors though the Enlisted Surface Warfare program, 5 sailors through the maintenance and material management program, as a result 5 sailors were advanced into the next paygrade (rank). Facilitated 14 training sessions on in-rate knowledge, SKED, and OMMS training resulting in 5 advances to the next paygrade, 6 maintenance personnel qualifications and 4 RPPO qualifications. My efforts increased the qualification rate by 80 percent improving the overall effectiveness of the work center. I expertly managed my work center maintaining in high standards and accomplishing all tasks given without supervision.

Onboard the USS Dwight D Eisenhower i Received some awards. I won blue jacket of the quarter. Received 2 NAM (navy accommodation awards). My command received a NUC (navy unit accommodation award). Earned my ESWS( Enlisted Surface Warfare Medal) EAWS ( Enlisted Air Warfare device). Earned a Combat Action Ribbon. Received a Ribbon for good conduct.
