Work Experience:

My name is Cole. I have been serving in the Michigan Army National Guard for the last 6 years and am looking to improve my current knowledge and skillset that I have previously acquire through military schooling, i.e. plumbing school and hasty carpentry. I'm really looking for an employer that cares about the future generation of tradesmen and will go the extra mile to work with and thoroughly train me so that I may pass on and re-build the would-be generation of tradesmen that come after me. I am self-motivated enough to know that my skillset needs work and that it will take some time to build the critical thinking necessary to advance and be successful. I am a hard and dedicated worker, and my main strengths lie with knowing that my work will not be in vain or put to waste.

  • Job Title: Carpenter/ Laborer

    Period: September 2025 - March 2025

    Role Description:

    Worked as a laborer (for the most part) and handled material. Performed as an underling for knowledgable formen, although the job required that I be away from the main learning environenments that came from working with those knowledgable people, and was repeatedly moved around in order to either fix or clean up after other trades. 

  • Job Title: Pipeline Laborer

    Role Description:

    Performed duties as a general laborer working for a pipeline company. Learned about how gas lines are exposed, tested for corrosion, and then fitted with sleeves/ coated with pipe sealant. Parted ways with the company after multiple work shortages lasting as long as a month each, and ended up not being a sustainable job income-wise.

  • Job Title: Amazon Delivery Associate

    Company: RoadRunners LLC

    Period: January 2024 - March 2024

    Role Description:

    Worked as a delivery driver for a third party DSP under the affiliate Amazon. The job was listed as a "full-time" position, yet each driver's work environemnt was heavily monitored/scrutinized to the point where new people weren't given the hours they needed. I didn't have a single full week of work after the first couple of weeks because of a glaring issue with how they monitored driver performance. My individual work was never performed in an unsafe or unbecoming manner, yet we were expected to handle very heavy loads with no moving equipment, as well as expected to load our own delivery vehicles by hand with litte to no space to maneuver in order to scan and drop off packages in a timely manner, thus docking employees on their performance record... which, in turn, left employees with massive gaps in their schedules and making little to no money in order to survive.
