Work Experience:

My name is Joseph Austgen. I feel I am a dedicated and disciplined professional who proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic. During my service, I gained extensive hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery under demanding conditions. I feel I have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to perform under pressure, I am now seeking to transition into a civilian career as an Operating Engineer. I bring with me a solid foundation in mechanical systems, a commitment to safety and precision, and a drive to continue building my skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. My career objective is to contribute to a forward-thinking organization where I can apply my technical expertise and grow within the heavy equipment operations field.

I have been serving in the United States Marine Corp for the last four years. I am currently serving in Okinawa Japan and my term ends at the end of August 2025. Although my desire was to be a heavy equipment operator for the Marine Corp., I was assigned the position of a diesel mechanic servicing varies pieces of equipment.
