Good afternoon, I am PVT Jesus Gonzalez. I'm in the army reserves as a 20yr old, currently in AIT for 12N(horizontal construction engineer) . I'm very interested in getting into a union and opening up a path of opportunity in the civilian world. I finish my AIT 09/22/2025. I'd appreciate any information on how to start an application. I'm interested in mainly 3 different trades- Residential carpentry, heavy equipment operator, and also the plumbing industry. Duties Description:Responsible for operating tractors with dozer attachments, scoop loaders, backhoe loaders, hydraulic excavators, motorized graders and scrapers; use bulldozers, cranes, graders and other heavy equipment to move tons of earth and material to complete construction projects for the Army; Analyze the information on grade stakes and placing them; Drive bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to level earth; Clear, grub, strip, excavate, backfill, stockpile and push scraper with tractor crawler; Cut and spread fill material with scraper; Transport heavy construction equipment with tractor-trailer; Assist in performance of combat engineer missions.
