Getting out of the Army in February of 2026 and looking to enter into the trades afterwards. I have been in a total of 8 years. 5 years as an MP, then a 3 year break in service in which I did 2 years being a tower technician (communications). 1 year as a land surveying rodman. Then 3 years as a stryker mechanic. I've had OSHA 10, basic rigging, first aid/cpr, and climbing/fall protection certifications that have since expired.

Duties Description:Part of a team to maintain the Stryker family of vehicles and keep the vehicles and the operating systems running smoothly; Performs field and sustainment level maintenance on various vehicle systems to include the suspension systems, steering systems, hydraulic systems, fire extinguisher/suppression systems and vehicular mounted armament; Supervises compliance with shop safety program and use, and maintenance and security of power tools; Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions; Supervises and provides technical guidance to junior grade Soldiers; Performs battlefield damage and assessment and repair.
