Biography:

Security Clearance: Secret Clearance

Military Experience: 4.0 years

Work Experience: 1.8 years

Work Experience:

Marine veteran, served as a Combat engineer which included various tasks and responsibilities including; horizontal and vertical construction, masonry, obstacle clearance, explosives demolition, wood framing, and equipment inventory. Through this I was able to develop and exercise self discipline, leadership experience, attention to detail, accountability, communication skills and punctuality. After leaving the Marine Corps I moved on to working as a Wind Turbine Technician where I performed wind turbine maintenance, repairs, modifications, and technical advising for the construction of turbines. Here I developed new skills such as reading schematics, understanding torquing procedures, familiarity with technical manuals, and a thorough grasp on the importance of electrical and working-at-heights safety. 2 years later I accepted a job as a Transformer Technician where I worked on high voltage transformers. I’ve been in this roll for nearly 3 years which involves mechanical assembly of transformers, vacuum oil-filling, and assisting in electrical testing using Doble, Omicron, Megger, and other types of equipment. The main lessons learned here have been confined space procedures, Lock-Out Tag-Out, and a refinement of mechanical skills and the emphasis on safety. My objective is to stop doing work that feels overly generalized and gain a thorough understanding of the electrical trade, proper wiring and pipe bending techniques, ordinance codes, and a firmer grasp on electrical theory so that I may one day gain certification as a licensed electrician. I enjoy learning and continually seek to expand my knowledge during both my personal time and on the job.
